Shopping Cart + Moneybookers

Posted on February 04, 2011

We are discontinuing Moneybookers.
From our viewpoint Moneybookers saves not only on fees but also on shipping cost by not demanding a tracking number.
But our customers seem to think different. We had no requests for payment by Moneybookers in quite some time, despite displaying on every ordering page Moneybookers prominently and offering an additional 3% discount on using this payment option.
As a result of not accessing their website Moneybookers disabled access to our accounts. The procedure to get a new password is quite onerous, not worth the effort with payments through Moneybookers non existing.
I believe Moneybookers needs to get more user friendly. It seems customers don’t want to spend a lot of effort to open an account and likewise we don’t want to have additional work.
Also, we lost money in 2 cases by paying with Moneybookers when the vendors didn’t acknowledge the payment. In order to maintain the service we had to pay again using a different payment method!

And renaming to Skrill will not help the acceptance problems.

How to pay with Moneybookers using our Shopping Cart:

Moneybookers is an option integrated into our Shopping Cart. We will send you a Moneybookers payment request.

Simply follow the link to Moneybookers high security site, open a new account and supply the requested information.
Next do an in-country transfer of the amount to your new Moneybookers account, that should not take more than 3 or 4 work days, weekends and holidays excluded.
Finally send the money to our Moneybookers account as supplied in the payment request.
